Significance
Sayyid Subhan Quli Khan Madrasa which was a huge academic establishment in Balkh was built in the 17th century. It is an important example of the Timurid and Uzbak periods for the city’s developement. The interior of the arch is ornamented with motifs which were popular in Heart during the Timurid period.

State of Preservation
The structure as well as its ornaments are in a bad condition and only one iwan remains from the madrassa. The iwan is also partially collapsed.
