Significance

It is one of the oldest mosques remaining in the governorate of Jeddah, and it is located in Al-Mazloum neighborhood and is known as the Al-Ateeq Mosque.
It is possible that the construction of the mosque dates back to the year 646 AH / 1251AD. The minaret is the oldest part of it. As for the rest of the mosque, it was rebuilt in 940 AH / 1533 CE.
