Significance
The minaret of the mosque is the oldest minaret in the city.

State of Preservation
There have been many initiatives to restore this monument including during the rule of Sulaiman Pasha in the late 18th and as recent as the middle of 20th. Some details remain from the original minaret, while others have been adapted and no longer speak to the early Abbasid period.”
