Significance
Al-Me’mari mosque is in the old part of the town in Al-Alawi street. It was built by Mustafa Mi’mar Pasha who was the Ottoman governor of Jeddah in 1867. It has a rectangular prayer hall and a minaret which is on its south façade which is built with traditional coral-aggregate blocks.
