Darwish Pasha Mosque is one of the Ottoman constructions in the Darwish Pasha complex (al Darwishieh). The complex consists of a mosque, a tomb, a madrasa, three public fountains, and the Khan al Harir. These constructions radically changed the visual structure of the Tariq al-Sultani, the main ceremonial axis of the city that connected it to the pilgrimage route, giving it an Ottoman character.
