Significance
Located at the center of Haram, in the east of the Dome of the Rock, the Dome of the Chain is one of the focal points in Haram al-Sharif. It is one of the largest and earliest structures on the site. The monument is remarkable with the tile work and paintings.

State of Preservation
Lately, in 2013 the Islamic Waqf recently completed the restoration of the Dome of the Chain, after three years of continuous work by the engineers and technicians of the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
