Significance
Noh Gumbad mosque is one of the oldest monuments of Islam. It was built in the first half of the 9th century. The original structure was covered with nine vaults which give the name to the mosque. Now the structure is covered with a metal structure to protect the ruins. Noh Gumbad mosque is also known as the burial place of Mohammed Yusuf. On its north there is a cemetery that was established two centuries after its construction. Haji Piyade is buried in a domed tomb there. Masjid-i Haji Piyade is a variant name of Noh Gumbad Mosque.

State of Preservation
Today the domes don’t exist but two of the arches remain. The ornaments and the structure is in bad condition. It is currently being protected with a metal roof.
