Significance
The bridge does not only links the Khwaju quarter on the north bank with the Zoroastrian quarter across the Zayandeh River, it also serves as a spot to enjoy the scenery with the water pouring down the steps of the bridge

State of Preservation
The existing inscriptions suggest that the bridge was repaired in 1873. The renovation was started in 2009 by the Iranian Organization of Cultural Heritage, lasted more than three years.
