Significance
Kok Gumbaz Mosque is the Friday Mosque at the center of historical Shakhrisyabz. The mosque was erected as a part of Dorut Tilovat Complex, the memorial ensemble of Amir Timur.

State of Preservation
The mosque is intact. In 1976, the restoration of its exterior cuppola was implemented. Between 1994-1996, the cladding of the exterior cuppola’s surface was completed, the interior paintings of the mosque were restored and the gallery was reconstructed.
