Significance
Previously referred as Diani Persian Mosque or Tiwi Mosque, the mosque is a well-preserved example of the Swahili mosques of 15th century.

State of Preservation
The building stands near the Indian Ocean, its first name was Diani Persian Mosque, when ıt was reopened in the recent history ıt was renamed as Kongo Mosque. Today it is open to usage.
