Significance
Located in the centre of Domat AlJandal city, the importance of Omar’s Mosque stems from its design, as it is reminiscent of the Prophet›s Mosque. Moreover, it is one of the oldest mosques whose layout has remained untouched. The stone minaret of the mosque is located in the southwest corner, and deviates from the qibla wall. The base of the minaret is square-shaped and its stone walls narrow till create a conical shape at an altitude of
12.7meters.
