Significance
Although not so much decorated as his father’s, the Mausoleum of Timur Shah is a typical example of Central Asian tradition of mausoleums. The monument which is built of fired brick, is an octagonal structure with two intersecting cross-axes organised on six levels.

State of Preservation
The monument had been restored by Association for the Preservation of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Afghanistan between 2002-2005. This structure has suffered many wars and has been damaged. In 2002, a series of measures were put in place for this structure and other legacies. On October 19, 2012, the restoration of the tomb was completely finished and opened to visitors. Now this structure is in a very good condition.
